Injured striker Mbappe is out for 3 weeks, little hope of playing
Paris. Spanish club Real Madrid’s star striker Kylian Mbappe has suffered an injury to his left knee and it is doubtful that he will play for three weeks. Real Madrid said in a brief statement that the French superstar had suffered a foot sprain, but did not say when he would fully recover.
French sports newspaper L’Equipe said, without citing a source, that Mbappe would be unavailable for at least three weeks. According to Équipe, Mbappe has been struggling with a ligament problem in the back of his knee for the past few weeks and an MRI taken on Wednesday morning revealed a lesion that requires treatment and rest.
This striker is in great form. Earlier this month, Mbappe scored his 59th goal for Real Madrid in 2025, equaling Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of most goals for the club in a year.
