Inquilab Mancha gave 24-hour ultimatum to Mohammad Yunus government regarding Hadi’s murder.

Inquilab Manch’s spokesperson and student leader Sharif Usman Hadi, who had created a lot of discussion in Bangladesh politics, was given a final farewell in the presence of thousands of supporters on Saturday. He was laid to rest near the grave of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in the Dhaka University campus. On this occasion, the muddy fields and anti-government slogans have once again increased the tension in Bangladesh. Inquilab Manch has now given an ultimatum of 24 hours to the interim government to catch the killers.

Sharif Osman Hadi’s Namaz-e-Janaza was offered in the South Plaza of the National Parliament Building. In which the Chief Advisor of the interim government, Professor Mohammad Yunus, members of the Advisory Council and leaders of various political parties participated. Paying tribute, Professor Yunus said, “Hadi will always be alive in our hearts.”

After the funeral, Inquilab Forum Secretary Abdullah Al Jabeer had adopted an aggressive stance. He called upon the supporters to protest in Shahbag area and said, “We have not come here just to mourn, we have come here to demand justice for our brother.” He alleged that even after a week of the murder, the killers are still out of reach of the police. The platform has asked the government to identify the killers within 24 hours and report on the action taken so far.

Before the funeral, Hadi’s brother Abu Bakar Siddiqui had raised questions on the failure of the government and the police. He emotionally asked, “My brother, they were shot in broad daylight in Patnagar, yet why are the killers absconding even after 8 days? The trial of the killers should start immediately. 32-year-old Sharif Usman Hadi was the main face of the anti-Sheikh Hasina platform ‘Inquilab Manch’. This platform was in the news during the July 2024 rebellion. Hadi is contesting in the general elections to be held next year. Was campaigning as an opposition candidate.
