In this regard, hackers have come up with a new trick, which is called a password reset attack. In this, hackers do not directly try to change your account password. Then a password reset request is sent to users from the alleged official Instagram ID. When users receive emails and notifications related to password reset requests, some mistake the message for an Instagram alert and users click on the link in the message. This puts their account at risk. In many cases, hackers gain complete control over the account.
