Instagram new comment edit feature: changes up to 15 minutes

Instagram has launched a new comment edit feature, under which users can edit their comment multiple times for 15 minutes after posting. This change will improve the user experience and mistakes can be easily corrected. Edited comments will also appear with an “Edited” label.

Instagram New Feature: Social media platform Instagram has released a new update for users, under which now the posted comments can be edited for 15 minutes. This feature has been rolled out to users worldwide and aims to make the commenting experience easier and more accurate. Users in India including New Delhi will also be able to take advantage of this feature. After this change, users will be able to directly correct the comment instead of deleting it if there is a mistake, which will make the conversation on social media more comfortable and controlled.

Facility to change comments within 15 minutes

Under the new feature, users can edit any comment multiple times up to 15 minutes after posting. Earlier, if there was a mistake, the entire comment had to be deleted, but now the same comment can be corrected directly.

A label of Edited will appear below the edited comment, making it clear that changes have been made to the post. However, this feature is only for text comments, it will not be possible to make changes to comments containing photos or other media.

How will the new update of Instagram make work easier?

To use this feature, the user will have to press for a while on his comment, after which the option of Edit will appear. From there the comment can be easily changed and there will be no need to repost.

This feature is already present in WhatsApp, where messages can be edited for up to 15 minutes. Now by getting a similar experience on Instagram, users will get more convenience and control.

Instagram also focuses on safety features

Meta is also continuously working on making its platforms secure. In this sequence, Teen Accounts feature has been launched in India, in which the content is filtered according to age.

Along with this, parents have also been given new control options, so that they can keep an eye on the online activities of their children. Its aim is to make the platform safe and responsible.
