Guwahati: The Assam government has decided to shut down mobile internet services across the state on September 29 with the aim of conducting free and fair recruitment examinations for Class III jobs in the state. Please note that internet service will remain closed from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. This decision has been announced by the state's Additional Chief Secretary Ajay Tiwari. According to Tiwari, this step has been taken to keep the examination process free, fair and transparent. At the same time, it is also considered necessary to prevent any possible issue that may disturb the law and order situation.

Ajay Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, said that this notification has been issued under the provision of Section 5(2) of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885. A total of 7,34,080 candidates have applied to appear in the recruitment examination for Class III posts of State Level Recruitment Commission. Successful candidates will be appointed on the basis of vacancies of Class III posts in various departments. Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has been appointed by the State Level Recruitment Commission as the testing agency for Class III jobs. The written examination is to be conducted tomorrow at various centers in 27 districts.

Let us tell you that the recruitment examinations will be conducted in two shifts, the first shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be conducted from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. These examinations will be conducted at 822 examination centers in the state. The main reason behind the decision to suspend the internet services is that some anti-social elements have tried to disrupt the examination process through unfair means by misusing social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, YouTube, and Cam-Scanners. May go. Due to which the examination process may be negatively affected. Therefore, this time it has been considered necessary to suspend internet services.
