Telecom company Bharti Airtel has signed an agreement with Elon Musk’s company SpaceX to bring satellite internet service Starlink to India. Airtel had given this information in its stock exchange filing on March 11. And on the very next day of this incident, Starlink has also signed an agreement with Reliance Jio.
After the arrival of Jio in India, a huge opportunity has been provided in the internet sector. And for some time, Elon Musk’s company Star Link was trying to enter India in this field. The path which has now been opened. According to which Bharti Airtel said in its filing on March 11, 2025, it has entered into an agreement with SpaceX. Under which Starlink’s high-speed internet service will be made available to Airtel customers of India. This partnership aims to provide reliable broadband services to areas deprived of internet connectivity. This agreement is important towards strengthening digital connectivity in India and providing advanced internet services to customers.
Under this partnership, SpaceX’s Starlink will play a key role in expanding Airtel’s existing services. SpaceX will provide direct services to Airtel experts, customers and businesses in the Indian market. The agreement between Airtel and SpaceX will include the availability of Starlink tools in Airtel’s retail stores, offering Starlink services to business customers, and exploring opportunities to connect communities, schools and health centers in rural areas.
Under this agreement, SpaceX and Airtel will work together to deliver Starlink services to businesses, educational institutions, health care centers and remote areas. Will explore the integration of Starlink technology into Airtel’s existing network infrastructure. Starlink provides high-speed, low latency internet to users around the world. Starlink has the world’s first and largest satellite network in low Earth orbit. Streaming, online gaming, video calls can be done easily through Starlink internet.
