Interview with the Vampire Season 3: Plot details
In Season Three, the point of view shifts to Lestat de Lioncourt (played by Sam Reid) as the lead, primarily basing its adaptation on Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat, the second book in The Vampire Chronicles series.
Following the release of Daniel Molloy’s book, Interview With the Vampire — where Lestat was famously misrepresented — Lestat has decided to take measures into his own hands and tell the truth about the way he has been portrayed. Lestat tells his side of things, using his trademark dramatic flair. He creates a rock band and goes on tour to create a buzz around Lestat and the other vampires in our series!
This season tells the story of Lestat’s life before and after becoming a vampire, detailing important events, people and places involved in his life from birth to death and lots of other memorable moments! As well as including Lestat’s life history, the reader can also see Louis, Armand, and others who are all living in the present day as well. It will be a “sexy pilgrimage across time, space, and trauma,” featuring fabulous new characters like Lestat’s Mother, his Maker, mystery vampires and lots of rock music, band dynamic and amazing rock star antics.
Although there are lots of new and exciting characters, a major trailer as of January 2026 had not been released, but sneak peaks show some of Lestat’s rock star image, as well as reunions between the characters.
As with previous seasons of Interview with the Vampire, the overall tone and style will remain the same; there will continue to be unreliable narration, homosexuality themes, gothic horror themes, and emotional weight in this series. In addition, Daniel Hart (Daniel’s composer) will continue to create music for Lestat and the band!
Interview with the Vampire Season 3: Premiere date
This series will premiere on Sunday, June 7, 2026, only on AMC and AMC+.
From official announcements by AMC, Wikipedia, TV Guide, and fan-based websites, through April of 2026 and current entertainment sources; there still may be additional cast or plot information about this show nearer to the debut. The show continues to be praised for its acting IVs, production, and how faithfully it adheres to some of Anne Rice’s themes but has added a new take on them for a modern audience.
