Government oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on Saturday officially assured that the supply of petrol, diesel and LPG across the country remains completely adequate. The company has clarified that due to the continuous efforts of the Central Government, strict arrangements have been made to prevent any kind of disruption in the fuel supply chain.

The main objective of the company is to prevent possible hoarding and black marketing of LPG cylinders so that common citizens do not face any kind of shortage. The company has assured customers not to book LPG in advance unnecessarily as the supply network is being continuously monitored.
Supply chain is stable despite global tension

Gas consignment arrived from Iran
Ministry of Petroleum It has been informed that recently a large consignment of LPG has been imported from Iran to strengthen India’s energy security. This consignment has reached the Western Port of Mangaluru and the process of unloading is going on there. With this step, the availability of LPG in the domestic market has become more stable.
Additionally, the administration is active in 21 states and union territories of the country and is refuting misinformation through press briefings and assuring citizens of smooth distribution.
Easy availability of 5 kg cylinder
For the convenience of the general public, oil companies have also increased the availability of 5 kg LPG cylinders. These cylinders can be purchased from nearby distributors or petrol pumps by showing any valid identity card and do not require proof of address.

According to the data, around 5.7 lakh such cylinders have been sold since March 23, of which a record of more than 71,000 units were sold in a single day recently. The government has directed the Chief Secretaries of all states to provide accurate information to the citizens so that no artificial shortage or atmosphere of fear is created.
