iOS 18.2 Update: iPhone users will get a new feature to track battery health…
iOS 18.2 Update: Apple has released the beta 2 version of iOS 18.2 for developers. It is expected that its stable version may be available to common users by next month. Many new features are being added in this update, which especially includes the feature of tracking battery health.
New 'Battery Intelligence' feature
The new battery tracking feature being introduced in Beta 2 of iOS 18.2 can be known as 'BatteryIntelligence'. As 9to5Mac reports, this feature will help users estimate how long their iPhone will take to charge. This estimate will be based on the amount of power the iPhone is receiving and the charging level setting selected.
iOS 18.2: Battery health tracking and other features
This feature, which is currently available in iOS 18.2 beta 2, will allow users to inspect the battery health of their iPhone in detail. In this, information like optimized charging settings, slow charging option, and battery cycle count will be available to improve the lifespan of the battery.
The report says that this feature is not fully developed yet and Apple may work to improve it in future updates.
Features like MacBook
The new battery feature will be very similar to the battery tracking available in MacBook's operating system macOS. Whenever a MacBook is charged, users can click on the battery icon to see how long it will take for their laptop to fully charge. Similarly, in iPhone this information will be available through the battery icon.
iOS 18.2: Lots of AI features
Apple has already confirmed that many AI based features will be added to iOS 18.2. These will include integration of voice assistant Siri with ChatGPT, Genmoji, Image Playground, Image Wand, Visual Intelligence and advanced writing tools. These AI features will provide an interactive and customized experience for users.
In this way, iOS 18.2 update will bring many new and useful features for iPhone users.
