As soon as they see this, most people understand that this is a scam, but the way many people are sharing their phone numbers in the comments of these posts, it shows that many people are still falling prey to it. Actually, these viral reels use an AI generated voice that asks you to visit the digital712.com website. This link is also linked in the bio of the Instagram account that shared it. On the website, you are asked to click on a link to get a free smartphone. You are then asked to choose between options like iPhone 13, Samsung S23 or Vivo V27, then also asked for whom you want to make this purchase.

Free phone recharge…

Additionally, the website advertises free phone recharge offers. If you try to take advantage of these, you are asked for your personal information like phone number. If you try to purchase a smartphone or avail recharge offers through digital712.com, you will be redirected to two different portals earnwithfaith.in and go.sapost.co.in. These websites have a similar look and feel and also contain articles about ways to earn money, government schemes and offers.

This is a data harvesting scam

When you enter your details in an attempt to purchase these heavily discounted smartphones, the page simply refreshes. There's no real way to buy the phone. This is simply a data harvesting scam. The “About Us” section of digital712.com also has an email address associated with a LinkedIn account. This person's LinkedIn bio states that he is a teacher in Bikaner, Rajasthan, which connects him to Rajasthan.
