Delhi Delhi. When Apple launched the iPhone 16 Pro in September, it entered the highly competitive premium smartphone market. Samsung's Galaxy S24 series and Google Pixel 9 series emerged as the biggest rivals of the iPhone 16. But the rivalry between iPhone and Pixel reached a new level this time, as Google launched four Pixel smartphones for the first time. Pixel 9 Pro has succeeded in competing with the iPhone 16 Pro. Here their specifications are compared.
iPhone 16 Pro vs Google Pixel 9 Pro: Specifications
Display: Apple's iPhone 16 Pro features a 6.3-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED display that supports 1 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to 2,000 nits peak brightness, HDR10, and Dolby Vision. The Google Pixel 9 Pro, on the other hand, features a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED screen with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+, and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Both the phones offer always-on display functionality.
Processor: The iPhone 16 Pro has Apple's latest A18 Pro chip, which has a hexa-core CPU and hexa-core GPU. It has 8GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. Google's Pixel 9 Pro uses the company's new Tensor G4 chip, which has eight CPU cores and Mali-G715 MC7 GPU. It has up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Expandable storage is not supported in both the phones.
Cameras: The iPhone 16 Pro has three cameras on the back: a 48MP wide sensor with sensor-shift optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP periscope telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultrawide sensor for clicking macros. Its FaceTime camera uses a 12MP sensor. The Pixel 9 Pro, on the other hand, has a 50MP wide sensor with OIS, a 48MP periscope telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultrawide sensor. The phone has a 42MP selfie camera.
Battery: Although Apple has not revealed the official battery capacity of the iPhone, a recent teardown has confirmed that the iPhone 16 Pro has a 3582mAh battery. Meanwhile, Google has equipped the Pixel 9 Pro with a 4700mAh battery. Both phones support wireless charging.

The iPhone 16 Pro is priced at a starting price of ₹1,19,900, while the Pixel 9 Pro is available at a starting price of ₹1,09,999 for the 16GB RAM/256GB variant.
