iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2 display specifications leak as iPhone 19 Pro enters testing
Display leak overview
New reports suggest Apple is testing display changes across its next iPhone line-up, with the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2 all expected to follow different screen strategies. The same wave of leaks also says the iPhone 19 Pro has now entered testing, pointing to Apple’s next round of premium model development.
iPhone 18 display details
The standard iPhone 18 is tipped to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. That would continue Apple’s move toward smoother screens on its main models, while keeping the device in the familiar compact flagship category.
Some reports also point to a slightly larger 6.31-inch OLED panel for the iPhone 18, which suggests Apple may be adjusting the size just a little depending on the final model configuration. Either way, the common thread is a high-refresh OLED screen rather than a basic 60Hz panel.
iPhone 18e display details
The iPhone 18e is said to take a more affordable route, with a 6.2-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and a 60Hz refresh rate. That would place it below the main iPhone 18 in screen smoothness, while still keeping OLED quality for colour and contrast.
A separate leak describes the iPhone 18e as having a 6.3-inch OLED display with HDR supportwhich again suggests Apple is keeping the entry model focused on value rather than premium animation and gaming performance. The base 18e appears to be aimed at everyday users who want Apple’s core experience without the highest-end screen specs.
iPhone Air 2 and iPhone 19 Pro
The iPhone Air 2 is expected to continue Apple’s slimmer design direction, with reports linking it to a premium display panel and a thin body. While the exact display specification remains less detailed than the other models, the Air 2 appears to sit between the base iPhone and Pro tiers in both design and positioning.
The more notable long-term update is that the iPhone 19 Pro is now said to have entered testing. That indicates Apple is already working on the next premium generation while still finalising the iPhone 18 family, which is in line with its usual multi-year product pipeline.
What the leaks suggest
Taken together, the reports point to Apple keeping a clear divide between its standard, budget and premium iPhones. The iPhone 18 could bring smoother scrolling to the main line, the iPhone 18e may stay more restrained, and the iPhone Air 2 is likely to focus on thin design and premium feel.
For now, the information remains in the leak stage, but it offers a useful early look at how Apple may segment its display strategy across the next few iPhone generations.
