While the iPhone 16 series has recently gone on sale but many are eyeing the iPhone SE 4, the budget phone by Apple which is set to change the overall experience of the SE series. The upcoming iPhone SE 4 has been long-awaited since the iPhone SE 3 arrived in 2022 with minimal changes. What’s interesting part is that the SE 4, Apple’s affordable variant of the flagship iPhone series, is expected to feature notable upgrades, borrowing design elements from the iPhone 16. iPhone SE 4 Design and Display
The iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to adopt a fresh design similar to the iPhone 16. That means it is finally moving away from the iPhone 8-inspired look of the SE 3. Based on leaks and rumours, you can expect a larger 6.1-inch OLED display and the shift from Touch ID to Face ID. While it’s not expected to include the iPhone 16’s Dynamic Island, it may feature a notch, similar to the iPhone 14. On the rear, it’s likely to retain a single camera but with improved internals. Additional changes include a USB-C port replacing Lightning and the introduction of the Action Button in place of the mute switch. It must be noted that the USB-C port came to the iPhone series starting with the iPhone 15 family.
iPhone SE 4 Specifications and Features
Rumours suggest the iPhone SE 4 will be powered by the A18 chipset with 8GB of RAM, similar to what is expected in the iPhone 16 series. However, there could be some limitations in CPU and GPU cores. The phone may feature a 3,279mAh battery, akin to the iPhone 14, and a 48MP rear camera, an upgrade from the SE 3’s 12MP shooter. It’s also speculated to include AI-powered features, making it the most affordable iPhone with Apple Intelligence.
iPhone SE 4 Expected Price
The iPhone SE 3 launched at $429 (Rs 43,900) for the base 64GB model. While some reports suggest the SE 4 might retain a similar price, any potential hike is expected to keep the price under $500.

The iPhone SE 4 is anticipated to launch between March and April 2025, following the pattern of its predecessors. The exact dates are yet to be confirmed.
