iPhone Update- Is your iPhone not scanning QR code, change these settings immediately
Friends, in today’s modern era, QR codes have become an essential part of our everyday life, like making quick payments, accessing websites, or downloading apps. But sometimes it can be irritating and inconvenient when your iPhone suddenly stops scanning QR codes. The good thing is that this problem usually occurs due to minor settings or minor mistakes, let us know how to fix it-
1. Check and turn on camera settings
The first step is to make sure your iPhone’s QR scanning feature is turned on.
Go to Settings > Camera
Turn on Scan QR Codes
If this option is off, your phone will not be able to recognize any QR codes. After turning it on, try scanning again.
If this still doesn’t work, restart your iPhone:
Press Volume Up, then press Volume Down
Press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears
This refresh often fixes minor software bugs.
2. Use the camera properly
Make sure you’re using the Camera app in Photo mode when scanning.
Avoid using ultra-wide or telephoto lenses
Keep Live Text on, as it helps trace code and text
Due to such small mistakes made in use, scanning is not done properly.
3. Clean the camera lens
A dirty or cloudy lens may prevent proper scanning.
Clean the camera lens gently with a soft cloth
Provide good lighting around the QR code
Hold your phone about 6–12 inches away
Holding the camera too close or too far may make it difficult to focus.
4. Use Code Scanner from Control Center
If the Camera app still doesn’t work, try using a specific scanner:
Go to Settings > Control Center
Add Code Scanner
This feature is specifically designed for scanning QR codes and often works when the camera is not working.
