These 3 young superstars were not sold in the mega auction, one is called 'Baby AB'

The mega auction of IPL 2025 was held on 24 and 25 November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where many young players became millionaires. However, apart from this, during the mega auction, there were many young talents who did not find any buyer. This is the reason why today through this special article we are going to tell you about three such youngsters who were ignored by all the franchises in the mega auction.

Prithvi Shaw

Indian team's explosive batsman Prithvi Shaw remained unsold in the IPL mega auction. There was a time when Prithvi Shaw was compared with great batsmen Brian Lara, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar, but today he did not find any buyer in the mega auction even at the base price of Rs 75 lakh.

It is noteworthy that this has happened due to Prithvi's poor form and fitness. He has flopped badly in the last three IPL seasons (283 runs, 106 runs and 198 runs) due to which now he has to face huge losses.

Dewald Brevis

South Africa's 21-year-old stylish batsman Dewald Brewis, popularly known as 'Baby AB', could not be a part of any team in the mega auction. Let us tell you that this is very surprising because Brewis has made an impact at a very young age and he is compared to the great South African batsman AB de Villiers. No one bought him even at the base price of Rs 75 lakh.

It is noteworthy that earlier in the year 2022, Mumbai Indians had included him in their team by paying a huge amount of Rs 3 crores. He remained a part of MI for three years, although during this period he got very few opportunities. In the last three years, Brewis played only 10 matches in the IPL in which he scored 230 runs at an average of 23 and strike rate of 133.

Shivam Mavi

26 year old Indian fast bowler Shivam Mavi is also included in this list. Shivam Mavi, known as a speed merchant, was a part of Kolkata Knight Riders for the first five years of his IPL career. After this, Gujarat Titans included him in their team by paying a huge amount of Rs 6 crores and last year i.e. in the year 2024, he joined Lucknow Super Giants for an amount of Rs 6.40 crores.

However, the sad thing is that Shivam Mavi could play only 32 IPL matches during this period. Yes, due to his injury it has always been difficult for Shivam to play IPL continuously, that is why this time he remained unsold even at the base price of Rs 75 lakh.
