Pant was included by Lucknow for Rs 27 crore. If we talk about Chennai, the franchise has kept its team in balance. They have included many of their players again. Due to which they will not have to work hard. Chennai will also be eyeing to win the title for the sixth time in IPL.
Chennai Super Kings had retained Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Mathisa Pathirana, Shivam Dubey and MS Dhoni in their core team. After which Chennai included many good players in the auction. Players like Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Ravichandran Ashwin were included. Apart from that, Rs 10 crore was spent on Noor Ahmed.

Earlier, CSK had retained these 5 players in retention. 65 crores spent on these 5 players. Chennai had spent the most money on its captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and experienced player Ravindra Jadeja. Gaikwad and Jadeja were bought by CSK for Rs 18 crore each. Shivam Dubey was retained by paying Rs 12 crores and Mathisa Pathirana was retained by paying Rs 13 crores.
