Each player to get Rs 7.5 lakh match fees per game, announces BCCI

Ahead of IPL 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday (September 28) announced match fees for cricketers featuring in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The announcement was made by the BCCI secretary Jay Shah on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Each cricketer, apart from his contracted amount, will receive Rs 7.5 lakh as match fees per game. Each franchise will allocate Rs 12.60 crore for match fees, Shah said.

If a cricketer plays all 14 league games, he will receive Rs 1.05 crore as match fees.

“In a historic move to celebrate consistency and champion outstanding performances in the #IPL, we are thrilled to introduce a match fee of INR 7.5 lakhs per game for our cricketers! A cricketer playing all league matches in a season will get Rs. 1.05 crores in addition to his contracted amount. Each franchise will allocate INR 12.60 crores as match fees for the season! This is a new era for the #IPL and our players!” Shah posted on X.

The new match fees will come into effect from IPL 2025 season. The announcement came months before the mega auction.
