Before IPL 2025, RCB made him the new bowling coach, was part of the champion KKR team.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has appointed Omkar Salvi as the new bowling coach of its team for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). As a coach, Salvi has led the Mumbai team to the Ranji Trophy title for the first time in eight years. Apart from this, during his tenure, Mumbai also won the Irani Cup by defeating Rest of India. 46-year-old Salvi was also a part of the IPL 2024 champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team.
However, Salvi has experience of working only with Kolkata in IPL. He is expected to begin his stint for the IPL franchise at the end of the current Indian domestic season.
RCB Director of Cricket Mo Bobt said, “He is very happy with the signing of Salvi and is hopeful that the Mumbaikar will play a key role in turning around the fortunes of the franchise which is in the race to win the IPL title. “To be an efficient T20 team, it is important to have a strong bowling attack and coaching staff and Bobat is hopeful that the addition of Salvi will help a lot in this regard.”

Salvi will team up with Dinesh Karthik in Kolkata. Let us tell you that Karthik has been appointed as the batting coach of RCB for the upcoming season. Both have worked together before in Kolkata.
