Delhi Capitals is going to retain only 3 players, one all-rounder included

Delhi Capitals IPL 2025 Retention: Mega auction is to be organized before the Indian Premier League 2025. By this month i.e. by 31st October, all the teams have to submit the list of their retained players to BCCI. Even the players are holding their breath regarding this. Delhi Capitals will retain only a few of its players. Recently it was revealed in the reports that Delhi will retain only 3 of its players.

Rishabh Pant

The first name in the retention list of Delhi Capitals could be that of captain Rishabh Pant. Delhi can retain Pant for Rs 18 crore. Let us tell you that Rishabh Pant has been associated with Delhi for a long time. He is captaining the team since 2021. He has scored 3284 runs in 111 matches for Delhi Capitals, scoring 1 century and 18 half-centuries. Pant did not play the 2023 season due to injury, yet DC paid him the full amount. In between, there was news of Pant joining CSK, but now it is almost certain that he will remain with DC.

Axar Patel

All-rounder Axar Patel is an important part of Delhi Capitals. After Pant, he can become the second player to be retained for Delhi. Akshar can be retained for Rs 14 crores. Akshar has been associated with Delhi Capitals since 2019. He has performed brilliantly for Delhi on many occasions. Akshar has scored 967 runs in 82 matches for DC in the last 5 years. Apart from this, 62 wickets have been taken.

Kuldeep Yadav

Delhi Capitals can retain Kuldeep Yadav as the third player. Kuldeep can be retained for Rs 11 crore. Kuldeep has been the most successful spinner in ODI and T20 formats for the last two years. In such a situation, Delhi would definitely want to keep him associated with it. Kuldeep became a part of Delhi Capitals in the year 2022. Till now he has taken 47 wickets in 39 matches for this team.
