Speaking to reporters after the BCCI Special General Meeting in Mumbai, Shukla confirmed the dates for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League.

In the SGM meeting, Devjit Saikia and Prabhtej Singh Bhat were elected unopposed as the new Secretary and Treasurer of BCCI. This was the only agenda of Sunday's meeting, but Shukla also revealed that the BCCI will announce the Indian squad for the ICC Champions Trophy on January 18 or 19.
