Possible venue list of IPL 2026 revealed, matches can be played in these 18 cities this season

A big update has come out regarding IPL 2026. According to the report, the next season’s matches can be held in 18 different cities of the country. These include many of the same venues where IPL 2025 matches were played. Some new and alternative grounds have also been placed in the probable list. Due to election commitments, the final decision on the schedule will be taken later.

The list of possible venues for IPL 2026 has been revealed. According to a media report, the next season’s matches can be played in a total of 18 grounds in the country. These venues include Chennai Delhi Lucknow Mumbai Wankhede Stadium Kolkata Ahmedabad New Chandigarh Hyderabad Dharamshala Visakhapatnam Guwahati Jaipur Bengaluru Pune Raipur Ranchi Navi Mumbai DY Patil Stadium and Thiruvananthapuram.

Out of these 18, 13 are the venues where IPL 2025 matches were also played. These include Chennai Delhi Lucknow Mumbai Kolkata Ahmedabad New Chandigarh Hyderabad Dharamshala Visakhapatnam Guwahati Jaipur and Bengaluru. Whereas Pune, Raipur and Navi Mumbai have been kept in the list as possible options.

According to the report, due to the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, some home matches of Chennai Super Kings may be played in Ranchi and Thiruvananthapuram. At the same time, the situation regarding the home matches of Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore is still not clear.

According to a report by IANS, the board is preparing the schedule of IPL 2026 but the Election Commission is waiting for the announcement of election dates of Tamil Nadu, Assam and West Bengal. As soon as the election dates are decided, such a schedule will be made so that both the electoral process and the tournament are not affected.

This report also says that BCCI has asked RCB and Rajasthan Royals to take a final decision on their home venues within a week. Only after this the complete schedule of IPL 2026 will be prepared.
