These 5 star players did not find any buyer, once used to rule IPL

IPL 2026 Auction: All 10 franchises have prepared their respective teams for the 19th season of the Indian Premier League. Cameron Green became a part of Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 25.20 crores, he has now become the most expensive foreign player in history. Apart from this, Chennai Super Kings spent Rs 14.20 crore on Prashant Veer and Karthik Sharma. Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan also finally found buyers. Meanwhile, there were some players who once ruled the IPL but did not find any buyer before IPL 2026.

Jack Fraser McGurk (2 crores)

The story of Australian batsman Jack Fraser McGurk is from the top to the floor. Before IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals had retained him at a price of Rs 9 crore. But he scored only 38 runs in 6 matches, due to which he did not find any buyer in the IPL 2026 auction. McGurk had kept the base price at Rs 2 crore.

Devon Conway (2 crores)

Devon Conway played 3 seasons for Chennai Super Kings. IPL 2023 was the best year for him. He had scored 672 runs in 16 matches. But in IPL 2025, only 156 runs were scored from his bat in 6 matches. Due to which Chennai released him. No one showed interest in adding this 34-year-old batsman to their camp.

Deepak Hooda (75 lakhs)

Deepak Hooda has been one of the famous players of IPL. Last year, Chennai Super Kings included him in their camp and this season was the worst year of his career. In IPL 2025, Deepak could score only 31 runs in 7 matches at an average of 6. Despite the base price of Rs 75 lakh, he did not find any buyer.

Jonny Bairstow (1 crore)

Jonny Bairstow, the most powerful batsman of the Indian Premier League in the year 2019-20, also did not find any buyer in IPL 2026. Mumbai Indians called him as a replacement for Ryan Rickleton for half the season last year. He scored 47 runs in 2 matches, MI wanted to buy him but could not play the bet due to purse of only Rs 2.44 crore.

Chetan Sakariya (75 lakhs)

Chetan Sakariya had caught everyone’s attention after making his debut in IPL 2021. Due to this, this left-arm bowler also got a chance to play for Team India in the year 2021 itself. He has taken the same number of wickets in 20 IPL matches, despite having a base price of Rs 75 lakh, he did not find any buyer.
