IPL 2026 Auction: The dominance of players from Madhya Pradesh (MP) has been seen in the mini auction of IPL 2026. A total of 14 players from the state took part in this mini auction, out of which 5 players found buyers. The names of Venkatesh Iyer, Mangesh Yadav and Kuldeep Sen are included in these players. The biggest news of this auction was Mangesh Yadav, who surprised everyone by getting several times more than his base price. At the same time, this auction was not as expected for star all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer.

Mangesh became a millionaire overnight

Madhya Pradesh’s rising player Mangesh Yadav emerged as one of the ‘uncapped’ stars of this auction. He has been included in Royal Challengers Bangalore at a price of Rs 5.2 crore. RCB fought a big battle with Sunrisers Hyderabad to buy Mangesh and finally included him in the team by bidding 17 times more than the base price (30 lakhs). Receiving such a huge amount is being considered a big turning point in his career.

Huge fall in the price of Iyer

This auction was a bit disappointing for the Indian team and former star player of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Venkatesh Iyer. This time a huge decline of 239% was recorded compared to their previous price. RCB has bought him at a price of Rs 7 crore. Last year, KKR had paid him a hefty price of Rs 23 crore. His arrival will strengthen the middle order of RCB.

Akshat Radhuvanshi got 3 crores

Batsman Akshat Radhuvanshi was included in their team by Lucknow Super Giants with a bid of Rs 3 crore. There was a competition to make Akshat one’s own with a base price of Rs 30 lakh. He impressed everyone with his performance in MP League also. With this, Kuldeep Sen was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 80 lakh and Shivang Kumar was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 30 lakh.
