Ban on practice on match day in IPL 2026

Here both the teams will be given separate wickets for practice, due to which no opposing team will be able to use the other’s wicket. According to the new rule, teams will get limited nets and only one side wicket in the practice area for range hitting. That means open nets will not be allowed. At the same time, even if a team ends its practice early, no other team will be allowed to use that wicket. The decision to ban practice on the day of the match can change the teams’ strategy and players’ preparation.
Ban on fitness test on IPL match day
Not only this, according to the new guidelines of BCCI, fitness test on the match day has also been banned. On the match day, the players will have to come to the stadium by team bus and their families will have to come by another vehicle. At the same time, only the official staff will be allowed to go to the dressing room and the field.
Many strict rules have been made for the IPL match day. It has been made mandatory for all support staff to carry the accreditation card with them. Players will not sit near the LED board and will have to follow the rules related to sponsors. It has been made mandatory for players to wear orange cap and purple catch, so that their performance can be shown during the broadcast. Players will have to follow the dress code even during the presentation after the match. If someone breaks the rules, a fine has been imposed.
There will be limited number of staff on the field on IPL match day
On the day of the match, only a limited number of staff will be allowed to go to the field, which also includes the team’s physios. It is clear from the new rules of IPL that BCCI wants to make the tournament more professional and organized this time.
