IPL 2026: Bhuvneshwar leading in the race for Purple Cap, names of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul remain in the list of Orange Cap.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have also moved forward in the Orange Cap list. Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s wicket-taking streak continued against Punjab Kings and he dismissed openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh in the first and third overs.

He took two wickets for 38 runs. While his economy this season is 7.70, in this match he spent runs at an economy of 9.50. With these two wickets, he has taken 24 wickets this season, which is three more than second placed Kagiso Rabada. Apart from this, he is five wickets ahead of Anshul Kamboj of Chennai Super Kings. In the evening match, Joffra Archer made an excellent comeback by taking two wickets for 35 runs.

Archer has come to fourth position with 17 wickets. Four other bowlers have 16 wickets in their name. In the Orange Cap list, RCB’s Virat Kohli scored 58 runs in 37 balls and Cooper Conley also scored 37 runs in 22 balls. Both batsmen made important contributions to the team’s victory against Punjab Kings. Kohli has scored 542 runs this season and has come close to the top two Gujarat Titans openers Sai Sudarshan (554 runs) and Shubman Gill (552 runs).

Connelly now has 473 runs and is in eighth place. In the second match of the day, Delhi Capitals defeated Rajasthan Royals in which Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 46 runs in 21 balls and KL Rahul scored 56 runs in 42 balls. With this inning, Rahul pushed Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad to fifth place and himself has come to fourth place with 533 runs. Suryavanshi is in sixth place with 486 runs.
