IPL 2026 is going to start from 28th of this month. It has been announced when the tournament will start, but till now BCCI has not announced the complete schedule, for which the fans are eagerly waiting. In such a situation, the discussion in the cricket circles is only about the upcoming season of IPL. Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings added Sanju Samson through trading before the IPL 2026 auction. After that there were speculations that the franchise could hand over the command of the team to Sanju. But then Chennai shared the post on social media and made it clear that only Ruturaj Gaikwad will take charge of the team in IPL 2026.

Mumbai Indians

Hardik Pandya returned to Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 and since then he is taking charge of MI. In such a situation, now Hardik will be seen commanding MI in IPL 2026 also.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals had appointed Axar Patel as their new captain in IPL 2025. This time too, Akshar will be seen taking command of the team, because the franchise has already approved this.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad had handed over the command of the team to Pat Cummins in IPL 2024. Under his captaincy the team has also traveled till the finals. In such a situation, now only Cummins will be seen handling the command of SRH in IPL 2026.

Lucknow Super Giants had bought Rishabh Pant from the mega auction of IPL 2025 for Rs 27 crore and handed over the command of the team. However, the franchise could not do anything special under his captaincy last season. But, now in IPL 2026, the captaincy of LSG is going to be in the hands of Pant once again, which has been confirmed.

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals has got a new captain in IPL 2026. The franchise has made an official announcement through social media on February 13 that Riyan Parag is going to take charge of Rajasthan, as Sanju Samson has gone to CSK.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders had handed over the command of their team to Ajinkya Rahane in IPL 2025. It is believed that this season also Ajinkya Rahane will be the captain of the team. Vanky Mysore has confirmed on several occasions that Ajinkya will take charge of the team in the next season.
