IPL 2026: Complete and updated squads of all 10 franchises
IPL 2026 will start on March 28 and while squads are confirmed and camps are underway the fitness picture across the competition is not as clean as some teams would like. Two IPL franchises have real concerns heading into the season. A few more IPL sides will surely keeping an eye on certain players after the T20 World Cup concluded just over a week back. This is where all the IPL teams currently stand.
Here is the fitness update on every IPL team ahead of 2026 edition
Kolkata Knight Riders
KKR have the biggest fitness problem in the competition right now.. Harshit Rana is reportedly out for the entire season. He was at the BCCI Naman Awards yesterday on crutches collecting the Best Debutant award. He had knee surgery in February and needs three months to recover. That is a significant loss for a team that built its pace attack around him alongside Cameron Green and Matheesha Pathirana.
Pathirana is not in India yet. He is in Colombo doing rehabilitation for a calf injury and confirmed on Instagram today that he has not traveled yet. KKR’s second most expensive IPL signing is unavailable twelve days before the season starts and there is no clarity on when he will be ready.
Blessing Muzarabani arrives on March 17 and will have under two weeks to settle before the first game. KKR spent the most at the auction and are heading into the season with two of their biggest investments either out or uncertain.
Lucknow Super Giants
Wanindu Hasaranga hurt his hamstring during the T20 World Cup and is unlikely to play for the first two weeks. It is a concern but a manageable one given the depth in their squad.
The important news is that Rishabh Pant and Mohammed Shami appear to be fully fit. Pant is the player LSG built their entire campaign around and having him available from game one is the most important fitness update they could have asked for.
Mumbai Indians
No injuries but the MI will be looking to manage the workload of Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav who both played in the World Cup final on March 8. Nobody is hurt but the IPL franchise would definietly wants them monitored carefully through a long season. MI brought in Shardul Thakur and Mayank Markande through trades partly to give themselves cover if Bumrah needs rest at some point.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru
RCB are waiting on Josh Hazlewood. Cricket Australia have not yet given him the medical clearance he needs due to recurring Achilles concerns. He is not injured right now but there is uncertainty around his availability until CA signs off. If he does not get cleared in time Jacob Duffy is the most likely replacement option.
Gujarat Titans
GT has no injury concerns. Shubman Gill is fit but has played a lot of cricket over the past six months and how he holds up through a full IPL season will be worth watching. Rashid Khan is confirmed for the tournament but the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s new rule limiting players to three overseas leagues a year may affect his schedule beyond the IPL.
Chennai Super Kings
Good news from the CSK camp. Rumors about MS Dhoni needing knee surgery have been dismissed by the franchise who confirmed he is fit for every game. That matters because their entire plan for him as a finisher through the Impact Player rule depends on his availability throughout the season. Sanju Samson has also joined camp his news IPL side and is fully fit after the World Cup.
Rajasthan Royals
RR are the healthiest IPL squad in the competition right now. Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran who came in through the trade with CSK have both joined training in Jaipur and are fit. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel and Jofra Archer are all available from game one. Everything is in order.
Delhi Capitals
No concerns for DC. Axar Patel will go into his first game as captain with a fully fit squad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
SRH are in excellent shape ahead of IPL 2026. Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, Liam Livingstone and Pat Cummins have all had a proper rest period and are fully available for the season opener against RCB on March 28. SRH traded Shami to LSG specifically because they wanted a completely fit squad and right now that decision has worked out well.
Punjab Kings
PBKS are largely fine. Shreyas Iyer takes charge for the second time with this franchise and has a fit and available squad heading into the season.
