DC vs KKR: Rohit-Virat cannot snatch this record from KL Rahul, such a feat happened for the first time in history
IPL 2026 DC vs KKR: Indian batsman KL Rahul is one of the best batsmen in the Indian Premier League. Be it the role of an opening batsman or leading in the middle order. KL Rahul has passed every test.
Today i.e. on 8th May, Rahul took the field on behalf of Delhi Capitals against Kolkata Knight Riders. This match is being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Karthik Tyagi trapped him and showed him the way to the pavilion on a personal score of 23 runs. But by then Rahul had achieved a feat which Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli would probably never be able to do.
KL Rahul made a unique record in his name
Actually, KL Rahul has become the only player in the history of IPL to score more than 1000 runs for 3 different teams. He had scored 2548 runs for Punjab Kings, then added 1410 runs to his account while being a part of Lucknow Super Giants for 3 years.
Now in the second season for Delhi Capitals, he has crossed the mark of 1000 runs. So far he has scored 1007 runs in 24 innings. The special thing about this record is that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will probably never be able to achieve this feat. Because both will not be able to represent 3 teams in IPL.
