Delhi: In the sixth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) gave a crushing defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 65 runs. Hyderabad scored 226 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Kolkata team collapsed for 161 runs in just 16 overs. With this victory, Sunrisers demonstrated their strength and firmly maintained their position in the table.

Captain Ishan Kishan’s statement
After the match, Ishan Kishan, who is the captain of SRH, praised the team’s performance. He said, “I am happy that all the players worked hard. I don’t think the pitch was bad. Head and Abhishek made our job easy. It was a total team effort. Our plan was to take wickets and our players were executing it well.”
Great performance by Harsh and Shivang
Ishaan Kishan especially praised the performances of Harsh and Shivang. He said, “Harsh just bowled the ball and we got the wicket which was destined for us. Harsh has also done well for his home team. Shivang bowled brilliantly, he played with a lot of heart and took important wickets for us.”

Need to improve fielding
The captain also said that the team needs improvement in fielding. He said, “It is very important for us to work on fielding. A difference of 10-20 runs can prove to be a big difference in the match. If we improve fielding, we can become even stronger.”
