When will Cameron Green start bowling for KKR? Know
Delhi: Australian all-rounder Cameron Green did not bowl for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, which became a topic of discussion. The team had bought him for Rs 25.20 crore, but Green was not seen bowling in the first match. On this, captain Ajinkya Rahane had said after the defeat that Cricket Australia (CA) will answer this matter. Later, Cricket Australia also clarified that Green needs 10 to 12 days to return to bowling.

Green now in place of Andre Russell
Till now Andre Russell had been performing the responsibility of fast bowling all-rounder, but Russell retired from cricket before the 2026 season, after which KKR expressed confidence in Cameron Green in his place. However, Green could not bowl in the first match due to a lower back injury.
Rahane expressed confidence in the team’s preparation
Rahane said that Green is fully involved with the team’s training and physio. Rahane said, “He is doing everything he should. Our team and physio are taking complete care of him. Very soon you will see him bowling.”

There may be a contribution from the second week of IPL
Now Cameron Green has started bowling in the KKR nets. This means that from the second week of IPL, he can also contribute to the team through bowling. After losing to Mumbai Indians (MI) in the first match, KKR also suffered a crushing defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, Green did not bowl in this match also.
