IPL 2026: KL Rahul broke AB de Villiers’ big record, ahead of Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan in this list

IPL 2026 Records: In the 62nd match of IPL 2026, Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 5 wickets with a very strong game. This match was played at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium. KL Rahul played a big role in helping Delhi Capitals win this match. KL Rahul played a strong inning of 56 runs in 42 balls. KL Rahul broke the big record of AB de Villiers during this innings.

KL Rahul has become the batsman to score most innings of more than 50 runs in IPL against Rajasthan Royals. KL Rahul scored more than 50 runs for the 9th time against RR. Earlier, this record was in the name of AB de Villiers, who had played innings of more than 50 runs 8 times against Rajasthan Royals.

Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli’s names also in the list

In this list, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli are at third position with number 7. Rajasthan Royals had given the target of 194 runs to Delhi Capitals. Chasing this target, Delhi Capitals got a great start from Abhishek Porel and KL Rahul. Both the openers together scored 105 runs for the first wicket in 10.1 overs.

Akshar Patel also batted brilliantly and played an unbeaten inning of 34 runs in 18 balls. Apart from this, Ashutosh Sharma scored unbeaten 18 runs in 5 balls and helped DC win by 5 wickets in 19.2 overs.

Rajasthan Royals innings

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals scored 193 runs on the scoreboard after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. RR did not have a good start and Yashasvi Jaiswal was out after scoring just 12 runs. However, Vaibhav Suryavanshi appeared in good form and scored 46 runs in 21 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Whereas, Dhruv Jurel played a brilliant inning of 53 runs in 40 balls. Captain Riyan Parag scored 51 runs facing just 26 balls. During his innings, Ryan hit 3 fours and 5 sixes. In bowling, Mitchell Starc took 4 wickets for 40 runs for Delhi Capitals, while Lungi Ngidi took 2 wickets for 24 runs.
