Lowest Powerplay Score Record in IPL 2026: The 39th edition of IPL 2026 was played between Delhi and RCB. The lowest score of the season so far was seen in this match. Delhi Capitals were reduced to just 75 runs against RCB (Monday, April 27). Along with this, the team also made the shameful record of lowest score in power play.

RCB holds the record for the lowest score of any team in IPL (all out for 49 runs). But now Delhi has become the lowest scoring team in powerplay. In the powerplay i.e. the first 6 overs, Delhi could score only 13 runs at the loss of 6 wickets.

Lowest power play score
Earlier, the smallest powerplay score in the history of IPL was 14 runs. Twice the score was 14-14 runs in the power play. In 2022, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 14/3 in the powerplay against Rajasthan Royals. Earlier in 2009, Rajasthan Royals had scored 14/2 in the powerplay against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In this match, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood of Delhi Capitals, who came to play first, came as a big threat. Due to the havoc caused by both, 6 players of Delhi were out for 8 runs. At one time it seemed that Delhi would settle at the lowest total in history. David Miller and Abhishek Porel took the team to 75 runs. RCB set out to chase and won the match by achieving the target of only 6.3 overs.
