IPL 2026: Only bowlers win the title, Starc’s return is certain, bowling coach Munaf Patel’s big statement…

Before the match between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026, Delhi bowling coach Munaf Patel has given a big statement. He clearly said that in T20 cricket, even though batsmen win matches, bowling plays the most important role in winning the tournament.

Munaf Patel said in the pre-match press conference that in today’s era T20 matches have become very high-scoring, where scores above 200 have become common. In such a situation, if the bowlers perform disciplinedly, the team can get an edge in the entire tournament. He said that batsmen can win one or two matches, but to win the title, consistent good performance of the bowlers is necessary.

During this, he also gave an update on the fitness of the team’s star fast bowler Mitchell Starc. Patel said that Starc is now fully fit and will be available for the match against Rajasthan. However, the final playing eleven will be decided just before the match.

Starc was out of the team for some time due to injury. He faced a lot of workload after his brilliant performance in the Ashes series for Australia. During this time, he got injured in his shoulder and elbow, due to which he had to take rest. Now with his return, Delhi’s bowling is expected to become stronger.

The team management believes that Starc’s presence will provide relief to the bowlers struggling in the powerplay and will help in putting pressure on the opposition team.
