Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Kolkata Knight Riders by 65 runs. Batting first, SRH got off to a flying start with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma tearing into the bowling during the powerplay. Despite a mid-innings collapse triggered by quick wickets, Heinrich Klaasen’s composed half-century and useful contributions down the order powered SRH to a massive 226/8.

In reply, KKR began aggressively with Finn Allen’s explosive start, but regular wickets derailed the chase. Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s half-century and some late hitting from Sunil Narine provided brief resistance, but the middle-order collapse proved costly. SRH bowlers, led by Eshan Malinga and Jaydev Unadkat, wrapped up the innings for 161 in 16 overs, sealing a convincing victory.

IPL 2026 Points Table After KKR vs SRH

The tournament format will remain the same as in the Indian Premier League 2023. There are two groups in which all teams play twice against teams in another group, while teams play teams in the same group once.

After the completion of all matches in the group stages, the top four teams on the points table will qualify for the playoffs. The top two teams will face each other in the Qualifier 1 match. The winning team will automatically qualify for the finals. The third and fourth teams will face each other in the Eliminator match. The losing team will be out of the tournament. The winning team will face the losing team of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2. The winning team will qualify for the finals.

Teams are divided into groups based on the number of titles won. Rajasthan Royals are currently at the top of the table based on their net run rate. Sunrisers Hyderabad are placed sixth on the table after winning their latest match.
