IPL 2026: RCB batsmen created a ruckus at Wankhede, scored 240 runs and defeated Mumbai Indians by 18 runs.

In the 20th match of IPL 2026, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first. Royal Challengers Bangalore, who came to bat first, got a great start from Virat Kohli and Phil Salt. There was a big partnership of 120 runs between the two for the first wicket. Kohli scored 50 runs in 38 balls, while Phil Salt played a stormy innings of 78 runs in 36 balls.

Captain Rajat Patidar batted aggressively in the middle overs and scored 53 runs in just 20 balls. In the last over, Tim David scored 34 runs in 16 balls and took the team to a huge score of 240 runs in 20 overs.

In bowling for Mumbai Indians, Mitchell Santner, Shardul Thakur, Trent Boult and Hardik Pandya got 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target of 241 runs, Mumbai Indians had a good start, but no batsman was able to play a big innings. Ryan Rickelton scored 37 runs in 22 balls, while Rohit Sharma was retired after scoring 19 runs. Suryakumar Yadav scored 33 runs, while captain Hardik Pandya scored 40 runs in 22 balls. Sherfane Rutherford’s unbeaten inning of 71 runs in 31 balls came from the lower order, but the team could only reach 222 runs in 20 overs.

In bowling for RCB, Suyyash Sharma took 2 wickets, while Jacob Duffy, Krunal Pandya and Rasikh Salam Dar got 1-1 success.

With this win, Royal Challengers Bangalore achieved their third win in their fourth match and strengthened themselves at third place in the points table with 6 points. Mumbai Indians faced their third defeat in the fourth match and are at 9th position in the points table with 2 points.
