IPL 2026: RCB gives target of 155 runs to Gujarat Titans

Ahmedabad. On the basis of the excellent bowling of Ashard Khan (three wickets), Jason Holder and Rashid Khan (two wickets each), Gujarat Titans on Thursday defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on the score of 155 runs in 19.2 overs in the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Here today Gujarat Titans won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Coming to bat, the pair of Jacob Bethel and Virat Kohli added 35 runs for the first wicket for Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the third over, Mohammad Siraj broke this partnership by dismissing Jacob Bethel (five runs). In the very next over, Kagiso Rabada gave another blow to RCB by dismissing Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli scored 28 runs in 13 balls with the help of five fours and one six.

Captain Rajat Patidar (19) was dismissed by Arshad Khan. After this, RCB’s innings was seen faltering in front of the bowling attack of Gujarat Titans. Jitesh Sharma (one), Tim David (nine), Krunal Pandya (four), Romario Shepherd (17) were out after scoring runs. In the 14th over, Rashid Khan bowled Devdutt Padikkal and sent him to the pavilion.

Padikkal played an inning of 40 runs in 24 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes. Ashard Khan dismissed Venkatesh Iyer (12) on the second ball of 20 overs. On the very next ball, Josh Hazlewood (0) was run out by Josh Butler and Shubman Gill, ending RCB’s innings at the score of 155. Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada dismissed one batsman each.
