IPL 2026: RCB won the toss and decided to bowl against Rajasthan Royals.

Guwahati. Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the toss and decided to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 16th match of the rain-affected Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Friday. Today here Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the toss and said that we will bowl first. The wicket was expected to remain dry, but it has been raining for the last few days and even today there has been some rain. Therefore there will be some moisture in it. We will try to take advantage of it, but it looks a good wicket.

Tushar is resting and Brijesh has come into the team. This is a new beginning. I told the team that as soon as the next day started after the win against Mumbai, it was the past. We have to forget him. Sangakkara had also said the same thing before leaving the hotel. All three matches are now past. Today we have to perform. If we don’t, we’ll lose two points and we don’t want that. As long as the players keep playing well, I am happy. I am satisfied with this batting, satisfied with the entire team. Hopefully this trend will continue.

Whereas RCB captain Rajat Patidar said that this is our first away match. He thanked the audience for staying. He said that this is already our home ground. We all love you very much. Unfortunately Duffy is not playing in this match. Josh Hazlewood has come in his place. Duffy bowled brilliantly in the last match. But everyone knows that Josh is an experienced and specialist player. I think his presence will take us to a better mental state.

Both the teams are as follows:-

Rajasthan Royals (XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Riyan Parag (c), Shimron Hetmyer, Donovan Ferreira, Ravindra Jadeja, Joffra Archer, Nandre Berger, Sandeep Sharma, Ravi Bishnoi, Brijesh Sharma.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (XI): Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (captain), Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Tim David, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Abhinandan Singh and Josh Hazlewood.
