After the defeat, Goenka wrote on his Twitter account that the season is still long and such moments are part of making the team stronger. Expressing confidence in the captain and the team, he said that they will make a strong comeback and also thanked the fans for their support.

Talking about the match, Lucknow’s batting was weak. Batting first, the team could score only 141 runs. Captain Pant came to open but was out early. For the team, Mitchell Marsh scored 35 runs and Abdul Samad scored 36 runs. Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan bowled brilliantly for Delhi and took 3-3 wickets.
