Ashwin selected RR’s playing XI for IPL 2026, gave special advice to Rajasthan by including only three foreign players

There is not much time left for the start of IPL 2026 and all the teams are busy finalizing their strategies for this season starting from March 28. This time a big change has been seen in the team of Rajasthan Royals, where Sanju Samson, who captained the team for a long time, has gone to Chennai Super Kings under a trade deal and in his place young batsman Ryan Parag has been given the captaincy.

Meanwhile, former Rajasthan Royals player and veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has selected the probable playing eleven of Rajasthan Royals on his YouTube channel. Ashwin has included only three foreign players in his team. According to Ashwin, the biggest advantage of fielding a playing eleven with three foreign players is that Rajasthan Royals will have the option to include an additional foreign player as an impact sub. The team can field bowlers like Nandre Berger or Adam Milne to strengthen the bowling as per the need. At the same time, if early wickets fall early, then a batsman like Luan-Dre Pretorius can also be included as an impact player to handle the batting.

Talking about opening, Ashwin has given opportunity to young Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who can give a fast start to the team. Captain Riyan Parag has been placed at number three, who will be responsible for managing the team and playing big innings. The middle order includes power hitters like Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel, who can change the course of the match at any time.

Apart from this, Shubham Dubey and Donovan Ferreira have been selected for the role of finishers, which makes the team’s batting look stronger. Ravindra Jadeja provides balance to the team as an all-rounder, who can contribute with both bat and ball. Joffra Archer, Sandeep Sharma and Ravi Bishnoi have been included in bowling.
