In the match played in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans defeated Punjab Kings in a thrilling match. Punjab batted first and scored 163/9. In reply, Gujarat did not have a good start, but Sai Sudarshan took control of the team by playing an inning of 57 runs. In the end, Washington Sundar scored unbeaten 40 runs in 23 balls and ended the match by hitting a six in the last over.

This is not the first time that Gill has made headlines with his funny posts. Earlier, he had made a joke by sharing a photo with a yellow whistle after the match against Chennai Super Kings. While posting a picture with Virat Kohli after the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he also made the fans laugh by writing ‘Play Bold’.Talking about the match, Gujarat bowlers made a great start. Mohammed Siraj dismissed Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly in the very first over, while Kagiso Rabada sent Prabhsimran Singh to the pavilion. Although Suryansh Shedge (57) and Marcus Stoinis (40) tried to handle the team by making a partnership of 79 runs, but the team could reach only 163 runs.
In reply, Gujarat’s innings was also not easy, but Sudarshan’s restrained batting and Sundar’s finishing helped the team win. With this win, Gujarat Titans moved to sixth place in the points table with 12 points, while Punjab Kings remain on top with 13 points.
After the match, Gill said that patience is necessary while chasing such a target. He admitted that the team did not want to take the match so long, but the wicket was not easy, so it was important for the set batsman to last till the end.
