IPL 2026: Sunrisers set a target of 227 runs for KKR, Klaasen scored a half-century.
Kolkata. Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 226 runs for eight wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after being invited to bat first in the Indian Premier League T20 match here on Thursday. Heinrich Klaasen played the highest innings of 52 runs for Sunrisers. Abhishek Sharma contributed 48 runs, Travis Head contributed 46 runs and Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed 39 runs. Blessing Muzarabani was the most successful bowler for KKR with four wickets. Vaibhav Arora got two successes.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings was started by Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. Both the openers batted stormily and gave a fast start to the team, but Sunrisers Hyderabad got the first blow in the form of Travis Head in the powerplay. Kartik Tyagi showed the head the way to the pavilion. Head was out after playing an innings of 46 runs in 21 balls. During this, he hit 6 fours and 3 sixes.
