IPL 2026: There is competition between three teams for a playoff spot, Rajasthan Royals have more chances

Sports Desk. The league phase of IPL 2026 has reached the final round. The names of three teams Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad have been decided for the playoffs. Now the battle for a playoff spot between Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders.

However, among the three teams, the first edition champion Rajasthan Royals has the highest chances of reaching the playoffs. Rajasthan State has to play a match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday. By winning this match, Rajasthan will become the fourth team to reach the playoffs. Rajasthan has 14 points after seven wins and six losses from 13 matches.

Whereas Kolkata and Punjab have 13 points each after six wins and the same number of losses in 13 matches. Even if Punjab Kings and KKR win their respective matches, both will have only 15 points each. With the defeat of Rajasthan, the team with better net run rate among these two teams will make it to the playoffs.
