New Delhi. Mumbai Indians bowling coach Paras Mhambrey has praised Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. He said that Bumrah’s work ethic and dedication towards the game are worth learning from for bowlers around the world. According to Mhambrey, Bumrah has grown tremendously in recent years not only in bowling but also as a human being. On the red clay pitch in Mumbai, because of the grass, you get bounce and shots can be played easily. Whereas on the black clay pitch of Delhi, there is less bounce and the batsmen have to play differently.”

Mhambrey also stressed on preparing the bowlers according to the pitch and conditions. He said, “Square cuts and pull shots can be played well on red soil pitches. In such a situation, our strategy is different. Whereas, on black soil pitches, players have to focus on speed and line. It all depends on the preparation and planning of the bowlers.”
