DC vs RCB Match 39 Result: Hazlewood & Bhuvneshwar Wreak Havoc
The match was decided in the first power play itself. After winning the toss and electing to bowl, RCB’s Josh Hazlewood delivered a masterclass in seam bowling, finishing with figures of 4/12 in 3.3 overs. Delhi Capitals struggled to find any rhythm, with Abishek Porel (30) being the only batter to provide some resistance. DC was eventually bundled out for 75 in 16.3 overs. In reply, RCB’s Devdutt Padikkal came out with intent, smashing 34 off 13 balls (3 sixes, 3 fours) to ensure the game was over before the halfway mark of the first innings. Virat Kohli (23)* and Jacob Bethell (20)* remained unbeaten to seal a 9-wicket win with 81 balls to spare.
