IPL 2026: Viral video of RR captain Riyan Parag vaping in dressing room goes viral

A big controversy has arisen in IPL 2026. Rajasthan Royals captain Ryan Parag has been accused of using vape in the dressing room during Tuesday’s match against Punjab Kings in New Chandigarh. The broadcast camera captured him in this condition in the 16th over of the second leg, the video of which quickly went viral on social media.

Parag was out at that time. He had scored 29 runs in 16 balls, but returned to the pavilion at the crucial moment while chasing the target. This video has created anger among the fans. Many people are demanding strict action from BCCI.

Although there are no explicit rules on vaping, the BCCI has strict stadium behavior guidelines. The use of tobacco or related products in the dressing room is prohibited under health regulations. In such a situation, Parag is facing the threat of fine or warning.

Parag is taking over the captaincy this season after Sanju Samson left for CSK. There has been a lack of consistency in his batting. Before the match, he was able to score only 81 runs in seven innings, due to which he had to face criticism.

At present, on the field, Rajasthan Royals gave the first defeat to Punjab by achieving the target of 223 runs with 6 wickets remaining. But this controversy can weigh heavily on the team. Earlier, a fine of Rs 1 lakh was imposed on RR manager for using mobile. Now all eyes are on BCCI’s decision.
