A total of Rs 640 crore was spent by all the 10 teams in this purchase. Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was the most expensive player to be sold for Rs 27 crore for IPL 2025. The Lucknow Supergiants team bought Rishabh pant. This mega auction was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

On Day of the auction, Indian pacers took the limelight. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (RCB, Rs 10.75 crore), Akash Deep (LSG, Rs 8 crore), Deepak Chahar (MI, Rs 9.25 crore), Mukesh Kumar (DC, Rs 8 crore), Tushar Deshpande (RR, Rs 6.50 crore) all went for high prices.
