As soon as Prashant Veer’s name came up during the auction, very few people expected that the bid would cross Rs 10 crore. But CSK’s intentions were clear. He adopted an aggressive stance from the beginning. Prashant Veer was available at the base price, but within no time the bid reached crores.

CSK fought tooth and nail for Veer and finally made him a part of their squad by making a winning bid of Rs 14.20 crore. Along with this bid, Chennai Super Kings also made a bid of Rs 14.20 crore on Karthik Sharma. CSK spent lavishly on both the uncapped players. Trust in youth shows the changing thinking of the team.
