After which questions were raised regarding security arrangements. However, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar has rejected the idea of ​​being shifted from Bengaluru.

In fact, after the stampede incident, M Chinnaswamy Stadium was under investigation and since then not a single international match has been played here. Earlier it was being said that IPL 2026 matches will not be played at Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar has rejected any talk of shifting RCB’s home games from Bengaluru. He described the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium as the “pride of Bengaluru and Karnataka” and said that IPL matches would continue to be held there.

Shivakumar said, “We will not shift RCB’s IPL matches anywhere else and will continue to hold them at Chinnaswamy Stadium. This is the pride of Bengaluru and Karnataka, which we will maintain.” Shivakumar insisted that the state had learned a lesson from the incident and would further tighten the system rather than giving up Bengaluru’s place on the IPL map. He stressed that KSCA will run the venue within the ambit of the law with proper crowd control methods in place.

Karnataka Deputy CM said, “I am crazy about cricket. We will ensure that the incident that happened in Karnataka does not happen again and cricket events are held at Chinnaswamy Stadium in such a way that the honor of Bengaluru remains.”
