IPL: RCB’s valuation increased significantly, CSK moved ahead

IPL 2025 winner Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has got a big advantage by ending the title drought. RCB team has become the most valuable team in the league. RCB team has left Chennai Super Kings (CSK) behind in this matter. RCB ended its 17-year title drought by defeating Punjab Kings in the final. A report has claimed that after winning the title, RCB’s valuation has increased to $269 million. Thus, this franchise has overtaken CSK to reach the top in terms of valuation. A report by investment bank Houlihan Lok said that the valuation of the IPL, run by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has increased by 13.8 percent to $3.9 billion. The report said that the value of IPL as a business has increased by 12.9 percent to $18.5 billion.

The valuation of Mumbai Indians has increased to $242 million, making it the second most valuable franchise. After a disappointing season, India Cements’ N. CSK, owned by Srinivasan, slipped from the top position a year ago to third place in 2025. The brand value of the franchise is $235 million. Shahrukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders is at the fourth position in terms of brand value with $227 million, while Sunrisers Hyderabad is at the fifth position with a valuation of $154 million. Punjab Kings had achieved the highest growth of 39.6 percent in 2025. This franchise is in ninth place with a valuation of $141 million.
