Rajasthan Royals team sold for 15.660 crores
Lakshmi Mittal and Aadar Poonawala together have bought the ownership rights of Rajasthan Royals for Rs 15.660 crore. The remaining franchise teams of Rajasthan Royals, Paarl Royals and Barbados Royals are also included in this deal. This news is quite surprising because about several months ago America’s Kal Somani, Rob Walton and Hamp family had talked about buying the stake of Rajasthan Royals, but now Mittal family will be the new owners of Rajasthan Royals.
Mittal family will be the main owner of Rajasthan Royals
According to the contract, the Mittal family will be the main owners of the Rajasthan Royals franchise, as they will own 75 percent of the franchise. Whereas Aadar Poonawala will have 18 percent stake in this franchise. The remaining 7 percent stake will remain with the old owners.
